Village Park is a beach community in Encinitas, California which is popular for its family friendly ambiance. There is a mixture of condos and single family homes in this neighborhood.
Most of the homes in Village Park were built in the early 1980s. Condos have an average of 1,500 square feet of living space and two to four bedrooms. Single family homes average at 2,000 square feet and offer three to six bedrooms. There are two Home Owners Associations which cover the community swimming pool, spa, tennis courts, and clubhouse. One of the associations requires payment twice a year.
Village Park is served by the Encinitas Unified School District and the San Dieguito Union High School District with highly ranked facilities like Park Dale Lane Elementary School, Diegueno Middle School, and La Costa Canyon High School. There are several private faculties such as The Rhoades School, Lighthouse Christian School, and Encinitas Country Day School. And nearby colleges include MiraCosta College and the California Institute for Human Science.
Residents are close to the new library and the beaches as well as downtown Encinitas. The historic downtown area of Encinitas offers shops, restaurants, and sidewalk cafes. At one time this corridor was Highway 101 and connected Los Angeles and San Diego. To the north is the Encinitas Ranch Golf Course and to the south you’ll find the San Elijo Lagoon which is the one of the largest coastal Wetlands in San Diego County.
Encinitas is a beach city that is known for growing ornamental flowers which is its main industry. It is located 95 miles from Los Angles and 25 miles from San Diego. Its name mean “little oaks” in Spanish and it is made up of five areas: Old Encinitas, New Encinitas, Olivehain, Leucadia, and Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Notable points of interest include the San Dieguito Heritage Museum, the San Diego Botanic Garden, and The Lux Art Institute.
